Luftschutz Honour Decoration 1938

1938 medal for merit in Luftschutz service, Official issue was grey oxidised light metal or zinc. This example is a zinc striking with a later gold wash and a black-painted swastika. Silver-grey base metal shows through the wash at the reverse bow and at a rim nick. The soldered suspension eyelet is broken off.
