French Model 1831 Foot Artillery sword with heavy straight single-edged blade and clipped tip, fitted with a one-piece cast brass hilt and D-guard knuckle bow. The blade remains unshortened and shows uniform aging with moderate oxidation and a small chip to the tip. The hilt remains tight, with visible service-era reinforcement at the guard junction, and the brass shows dulling consistent with field use.
